Intertrigo - the woes of drivers and fleshy women
Intertrigo is known by names such as sweat rash, diaper rash under the breasts or folk wolf. Intertrigo is caused by skin irritation. It forms mostly on overheated and unventilated parts of the body, such as skin folds, under the breasts, in the groin, on the anus. It is mainly caused by heat, sweat and minimal air.

Initially, intertrigo appears as a red and slightly itchy area. To treat intertrigo at this stage, increased hygiene, washing with lukewarm water and soap, preferably with a Ph of around 5, and thorough ventilation of the affected area are sufficient. The longer the intertrigo is left untreated, the more the skin becomes damaged. In the next stage, the site is red, burns and the skin is sensitive to touch. Here, in addition to increased hygiene, a baby powder or ointment for diaper rash should be used to soothe it after washing. If the intertrigo is already in a state where the skin is even wet, peeling and smelly, further steps are needed in addition to washing and patches. The affected area should also be dried and disinfected, preferably with baths in a weak hypermanganese solution or herbal baths or compresses, such as chamomile or calendula. After the poultice, it is a good idea to lubricate the area with zinc oil or ointment with ichtoxyl. It is important to ventilate the affected area frequently and try not to irritate it by rubbing, scratching, abrasion, etc. Healing takes from one to fourteen days, depending on the degree of involvement. If it does not heal and the symptoms do not subside or worsen, it may be a sign that it has become infected with bacteria or fungi. It is necessary to see a doctor for a prescription for the drug.
